3-D Pavers

The beauty of a precast concrete paving stone unit is the ability to create patterns upon patterns. This example of a three dimensional pattern rooted in Renaissance marble floors is a perfect fit for modern homes. Such a design helps soften the look of a long, narrow run of paving with a uniquely visual effect.

Versatile Colors

Color makes precast concrete pavers the most visually versatile paving for contemporary applications. This example demonstrates how to use high contrast colors in small spaces to create visual interest and to enhance the design. Special circular mosaic pavers beneath this modern fire pit enhances its place in the landscape.

Paver Accents

Concrete pavers formed and colored to look like brick provide the primary paving material in this quasi-herringbone patterned walkway. What would otherwise be quite ordinary becomes outstanding when cobalt blue glass block is integrated into the pattern along with large square grey stone pavers. Just a few accents can make a big difference, particularly if the glass block features underground lighting.

Oval Pavers

There is no end to the opportunities to create unique paving with precast concrete units. This unique and artistic surface laid on sand features ovals of all sizes fitted tightly for a one-of-a-kind pavement. Note the trench drain banded with dark iron-stained clay pavers that allows both surface and subsurface water to drain away from the paved areas.

This exciting example of ordinary square unit pavers features pink, red, white and steel grey. The use of a uniform unit but simply changing color is a great way to add interest without increasing cost or complexity of the project. Unlike an interlocking unit which demands a set pattern be laid, a square unit proves there is no end to the options, straight and curved, fields and bands.
