The western red cedar furniture is stained the rich color of teak.

Come on, admit it, you own a few pairs of knock off shades and maybe a handbag or two. And your friends think they’re the real deal, right? So why pay the higher price when the quality and appearance are no different? The same goes for patio furniture. Why pay for an expensive teak set when you can get the same look with western red cedar, but at half the price.

Brookbend is an outdoor furniture collection designed by a former Ethan Allen executive. Their concept is to provide upscale designs at affordable prices. The cedar is stained to emulate the rich color of teak while the ergonomic designs satisfy an enhanced fashion sensibility. The brookbend line includes a lounge chair, ottoman, side table, rocking chair, dining tables of various sizes, dining chairs, a buffet table, cabinet, box or server, benches, a chaise and more. Cushions custom fit to the dimensions of Brookbend furniture are available in five colors.

The wood used for Brookbend outdoor furniture is premium grade cedar that is knot free with a straight grain. It will hold up well outdoors year-round without rotting, warping or cracking. You can choose to have your pieces stained. If stained, Brookbend furniture will not turn gray. If you wish to have the gray color, opt for unstained. A system of interweaving pegs and bolt fastening inserts creates a tight fit and stable product. Plugs make it so that no hardware is visible once assembled.

Brookbend products do require assembly. However, this process requires only an allen wrench and five minutes of your time. Assembly instructions will be provided with your purchase. Under normal use, your new furniture will be guaranteed for 10 years.

So if you want a luxurious product without the price tag, Brookbend is the perfect alternative. The New York Times even says that no one will suspect it is not teak.
