Come January 1st, everyone seems to be concerned with weight. People everywhere change their eating habits and start hitting the gym. But it’s not likely that you’ve thought about the weight of your backyard fire pit. Luckily, Architectural Pottery has made a resolution on your behalf to create fire features that are lightweight, durable and attractive.

Made from a concrete mix that has been reinforced with fiberglass, these fire pits weigh less than you’d think without sacrificing strength. Four different styles are offered: Legacy Square, Legacy Round, Geo Square and Geo Round. Each style features a 7” table top ledge that accommodates drink glasses nicely. The heights of the fire pits range from 15” to 20” and the diameters from 42” to 48”.

You can choose between a manually ignited fire pit or one that is completely automated and can be operated from your home or pool control panel. A natural gas or propane supply is required. A filler, such as recycled glass, Mexican beach pebbles or lava rock, will also be necessary to cover the CSA approved burner.

A variety of finishes are available, with seven unique hand-applied colors that mimic lead, terra cotta and more. Multiple layers of stains are applied and each fire pit is finished off with a wax seal that provides protection against fading and weathering. Architectural Pottery’s fire features will last for years under various weather conditions.

So this January, while you’re focusing on creating the best version of yourself, take a moment to consider your outdoor entertaining space, one of these fire pits would make the perfect addition.
